To emphasize and support the philosophy of learning through play activities consistent with the development of the child, Maginniss + del Ninno Architects worked closely with the Director and Parent Cooperative to design a safe, clean, and supportive environment for the Crystal City Children’s Center.

The new Children’s Center has been designed to accommodate 108 children in 2 infant classrooms, 2 toddler classrooms, 2 two-year-old classrooms, a three-year-old classroom, and a Pre-Kindergarten classroom and provides the support spaces necessary for staff and meal preparation. M+dN’s design services included the design, selection, and procurement of an associated playground area adjacent to the Children’s Center.
